Ramp Network alternative for sellers paid by bank or mobile money

Where Ramp Network pays sellers only to a card, Unigox lets your users cash out to a local bank or mobile money account in currencies live on Unigox. Stay with Ramp for card buys and many tokens.

When Unigox fits better than Ramp Network

  • Your users cash out where Ramp pays only to cards

On Unigox, a P2P merchant or a payment business pays your user into a bank or mobile money account. Ramp's bank payouts run in the US, Europe and Mexico; in other countries it pays sellers to a Visa card.

  • You want to earn from the first trade, at any volume

Every widget partner earns 20% of the Unigox fee on completed buys and sells. It can add its own markup on sells in the partner dashboard, credited in crypto to its partner wallet as each sell completes. Ramp's Partner Commission is open only to partners whose monthly volume meets its criteria, and its partnerships team switches it on.

  • You want the sell screens in your own app

With the Payments API, your backend creates quotes and payout orders and your app draws every screen. Ramp's REST API returns assets, prices, quotes and sale status, and the sale itself runs in Ramp's widget.

When to stay with Ramp Network

  • Your users buy by card, Apple Pay or Pix

Ramp takes Visa and Mastercard cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfers, plus Pix in Brazil and PayPal in the UK.

  • Your app holds its users' crypto

Ramp's native off-ramp flow sells straight from your app's built-in wallet, with the address, amount and asset filled in for the user. In the Unigox widget, a user sells from their Unigox Wallet.

  • You need tokens beyond stablecoins

Ramp supports 120+ cryptoassets and lists new tokens and chains through its own application process. The Unigox widget trades USDT and USDC.

  • Your users are in the United States

Unigox does not currently offer its services in the United States, while Ramp pays US sellers by ACH or RTP bank transfer and holds money transmitter licences in the states it lists.

Ramp Network: your questions

Can a wallet use Unigox next to Ramp Network?

Yes. The Unigox widget is a separate embed code, so you can keep Ramp for card purchases and offer Unigox to users who cash out to a local bank or mobile money account. Users verify their identity with Unigox before their first trade, even if Ramp has already checked them.

Does Ramp Network pay out to mobile money?

Its payout methods article lists bank transfers in the US, Europe and Mexico and card payouts, and no mobile money. On Unigox, sellers get paid into a bank or mobile money account, depending on who is online for their currency.

Can my app sell crypto through an API on Ramp Network?

Not without the widget. Ramp's help centre says its REST API returns assets, prices, quotes and sale status, while the purchase or sale runs in the Ramp widget. The Unigox Payments API lets your server create the quote and the payout order, so the whole flow can sit behind your own screens.

What are the fees for selling crypto on Ramp Network?

Selling on Ramp's own platform costs 0.99% for an ACH, RTP or SEPA payout (minimum $1.99 or €1.99), 2.9% for SPEI in Mexico and 4.49% for a payout to a card. Partners can agree their own pricing. In the Unigox widget the Unigox fee is inside the rate the user sees, and a Payments API quote shows the Unigox fee, your fee and the total.

Which other crypto ramps compete with Ramp Network?

Card ramps such as MoonPay, Transak and Banxa sell crypto through an embedded widget much like Ramp's. Unigox covers a different job: bank and mobile money cash-outs in countries where Ramp pays sellers to a card.

Who holds a user's crypto while a Unigox widget sale is open?

The user sells from their Unigox Wallet, and your company never holds their funds. During a trade the crypto sits in an on-chain escrow that Unigox can release only to the buyer or the seller.
