PhotonPay alternative for creator payouts in local money
Unigox is a PhotonPay alternative for creator and marketplace platforms holding USDT or USDC: it pays their own users local money by bank or mobile money. Stay with PhotonPay for cards, payroll and checkout.
When to stay with PhotonPay
You fund ad accounts or team spend with cards
PhotonPay issues virtual and physical cards topped up with stablecoins or fiat, and sells virtual cards for Meta, Google and TikTok ad accounts to media buyers. A platform can also issue branded cards to its own users through its card API.
You pay staff, affiliates or PayPal and Venmo users
PhotonPay Movement pays teams, partners and publishers to bank accounts, e-wallets such as PayPal and Venmo, cards, or crypto wallets such as MetaMask. A Unigox cash-out goes to the bank or mobile money account of a customer of yours who passed the Unigox identity check. Supplier and other third-party payouts run on supported routes confirmed before integration; there are no PayPal or Venmo payouts.
You also run a checkout or subscriptions
PhotonPay Checkout takes local payment methods and stablecoins in one integration, as a hosted page, plug-in or payment link. Its Billing product runs subscriptions that can settle in USDT or USDC. A Unigox collection is a bank transfer or mobile money payment that lands in your partner wallet as USDT or USDC.
PhotonPay and Unigox for one creator payout
| Topic | PhotonPay | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A company headquartered in Hong Kong that sells accounts, checkout, payouts, conversion, cards, billing and expense tools on fiat and stablecoin rails, by dashboard or API. | One of those jobs: payouts and collections by bank or mobile money inside your app, settled in USDT or USDC. |
| Who you can pay | Teams, partners, creators and freelancers you add, to a bank account, an e-wallet, a card or an on-chain wallet. | Your own customers, each checked by Unigox first, to their own bank or mobile money account; suppliers and other third parties on supported routes confirmed before integration. |
| What funds it | Fiat and stablecoin balances held with PhotonPay on one ledger, converted and paid out from there. | Stablecoins in your Unigox partner wallet. Your server signs each order's transfer into on-chain escrow, and the refund if a funded payout stops. |
| Stablecoins into local money | Converts stablecoins and pays local money to bank accounts, supported e-wallets or prepaid cards. The currencies and corridors you get are set during onboarding. | The creator is paid in their own currency by a P2P merchant or by a payment business connected to Unigox; you can restrict a quote to payment businesses only. |
| Pricing | No figures on its site. Its Convert page says orders are priced against independent market benchmarks with no hidden spreads; its off-ramp guide calls pricing custom and volume-based. | Depends on the currency and payment method. A quote shows the rate, the Unigox fee, your percentage and the total before your server signs; an order that never completes is not charged. |
| Building it | A modular API with SDKs, or payouts launched from its dashboard, which PhotonPay calls a low-code setup. | A REST API authenticated with an API key, and a sandbox with the same endpoints as production, opened after KYB and setup. Signing examples come in Python, JavaScript and C#. |
| Regulation | PhotonPay lists a Hong Kong Money Service Operator licence, UK authorised payment institution status and FinCEN registration with US state money transmitter licences. It also lists FINTRAC registration in Canada, a DFSA licence in Dubai and a small payment institution licence in Poland. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |
Move creator payouts from PhotonPay in three steps
Agree where your creators live
The Payments API starts with a call to agree the markets your creators live in. PhotonPay's onboarding does not carry over: Unigox checks your registration, owners and source of funds itself, then sends API credentials.
Verify the creators you pay
Each creator passes a Unigox identity check before a first payout: an ID document and selfie, a Unigox verification link, or reuse of an eligible Sumsub or Persona check you already ran.
Send stablecoins to your partner wallet
PhotonPay can send USDT or USDC on-chain to an outside wallet. Move what the next payouts need to your Unigox partner wallet, run payouts and refunds in the sandbox, then switch to the production key.
PhotonPay alternative: what platforms ask
What is PhotonPay, and which part can Unigox take over?
PhotonPay, based in Hong Kong, sells accounts, checkout, payouts, conversion, cards, billing and expense tools on fiat and stablecoin rails, by dashboard or API. Unigox covers the creator-payout part of that: your server pays each verified user's bank or mobile money account in local money from USDT or USDC in your partner wallet. Cards, checkout and billing are not part of it.
See the Payments APIWhich regulators oversee PhotonPay?
Each region has its own PhotonPay group company: Photon Dance (Hong Kong) Limited under Hong Kong's Customs and Excise Department, Photon Dance Fintech UK Limited under the FCA, Photon Dance Global Inc. with FinCEN and US state regulators, Photon Dance CA Inc. with FINTRAC in Canada, Photon Dance (DIFC) Limited under the DFSA in Dubai and Photon Dance (Poland) Limited under the KNF.
Is there a PhotonPay alternative for USDT creator payouts?
Unigox, when the creators are your own users and the money sits in USDT or USDC. The Payments API pays each creator's bank or mobile money account in local currency from your partner wallet, once they pass a Unigox identity check. For staff, affiliates outside your app, or PayPal and Venmo payouts, PhotonPay fits.
Can PhotonPay cards stay while Unigox pays our creators?
Yes. Ad-account cards, checkout and subscription billing can stay on PhotonPay. Only payouts to your own users move. You hold USDT or USDC in the Unigox partner wallet, and each payout shows its fee in the quote before your server signs it.
