Rubic Exchange alternative for token buys from a wallet

The Unigox Trade API is a Rubic Exchange alternative for wallets whose users buy tokens on another network with a stablecoin: Unigox delivers the stablecoin and runs the buy itself. Stay with Rubic for two-way, any-to-any swaps.

When to stay with Rubic

  • Your users buy tokens on TON, Tron, Solana or Sui

Rubic returns a transaction in each of those chains' own format, next to its EVM routes. The Trade API fills buys on the EVM networks listed on its page. A buy takes one form on every network: the user signs a stablecoin transfer.

  • Your users sell through the same quote and swap calls

Rubic's API quotes on-chain swaps on one network as well as cross-chain ones, in either direction, so a token bought through it sells back through the same two calls. The Trade API only buys; a later sale is a separate swap on the network that holds the token.

  • You want Rubic's keyless endpoint and a fixed-USD cut

Rubic's standard endpoint answers without a key, at 10 requests a minute. For your cut, you send its business team an EVM address and a fee: a percentage of each swap, a fixed USD amount, or both. Trade API access starts with a request, with the revenue share agreed first.

Rubic swaps against Trade API buys

Each row is the same purchase: a wallet user holds a stablecoin on one network and buys a token on another.

Rubic swaps against Trade API buys
Who carries out the buyRubic quotes routes through DEXs, bridges and intent protocols and returns the transaction data for the route you take; your app sends it. Some routes run through partly centralised exchanges, which can ask the user for KYC when their risk system flags a transaction.Unigox delivers the stablecoin to the destination network and executes the purchase. Your team picks the assets and builds the trading screens. Deposits and recipients are screened for sanctions risk on every chain our screening covers, and anything flagged is held for review.
What the user signsAn approval for the route's contract when the token needs one, then the swap transaction. Deposit routes ask for a transfer to the route's deposit address instead, and TON, Tron, Solana and Sui routes for that chain's own transaction. The stablecoin transfer, after your app shows the quoted price. The token arrives at the address the user already has.
Price between quote and swapQuotes are indicative. The swap step recalculates the output, and your app compares the two amounts and asks the user again when they drift apart; Rubic suggests a 0.5% threshold. One quote states the delivered amount, the gas charge and a deadline. Your app shows that price and the user signs.
If a buy failsThe bridge or exchange on the route refunds: the original token on the source chain, or a pool token such as USDC, USDT, WETH or ETH on either chain. Most refunds are automatic; Celer routes need a refund transaction, and some others a request to support.A stablecoin refund at the receiver's address on the destination network, in full unless a failed execution there used gas; that deduction stays within the quote's gas charge.
Networks and directionAny token to any token, on one chain or across chains, between EVM networks and chains such as TON, Tron, Solana and Sui.Buying only. The networks must support the stablecoin used, and Unigox confirms each asset and network pair with you.
AccessNo key needed at 10 requests a minute. A key from Rubic's business team raises that to 400, and a dedicated domain gets limits set for you. The SDK is being updated, so Rubic points new integrators to the API.On request. Unigox reviews the assets and networks you want to offer, agrees terms and works with your team on the first purchase.
Fees and your revenueA percentage, a fixed USD amount charged in the source chain's native token, or both, once your fee address is listed. Without it, a default fixed fee comes off each transaction. Deposit routes through ChangeNOW, Changelly, Exolix or Near Intents carry 1% by default, half of it yours, paid monthly in USDT.The quote shows the gas charge. Your share of trading revenue is agreed with Unigox before you start.

Switch wallet buys from Rubic in three steps

  1. Name the tokens your users buy

Request access on the Trade API page and list the tokens and networks your users buy with stablecoins through Rubic today. Unigox reviews them and agrees terms. Sells, non-EVM routes and every other swap stay on your Rubic integration.

  2. Move the buy onto one quote

Your backend asks Unigox for a quote on the asset and amount. Your app shows its price, gas charge and deadline, then asks the user to sign the stablecoin transfer.

  3. Retire per-route refund handling

Unigox sends the refund itself, so these buys need no Celer refund call. Your app reads the result and shows the token received, or the stablecoin refund and where it landed.

Rubic Exchange alternatives: questions

What does Rubic Exchange do, and where does Unigox fit?

Rubic routes swaps on one chain or across chains through DEXs, bridges and intent protocols, for its own app and for dApps on its API. Unigox fits one part of that: wallets whose users buy a token on another network with a stablecoin, through the Trade API.

See the Trade API

How does a wallet integrate the Rubic API?

In three stages: a quote, then swap data for the chosen route, then status tracking. The API does not send anything itself; your app sends the approval, the transaction or the deposit, and confirms with the user again if the amount moved.

Who refunds a failed buy on Rubic and on the Trade API?

On Rubic, the bridge or exchange the route used, in the original token or a pool token, on the source or destination chain. On the Trade API, Unigox refunds the stablecoin to the receiver's address on the destination network.

Does the Trade API replace Rubic in a wallet?

Only for buys: a user holding a stablecoin gets a token on another network. Selling and any-to-any swaps stay on Rubic, so a wallet can run the two side by side.

Bring your stablecoin buys to the Trade API

List the tokens your users buy through Rubic, with the network and stablecoin for each. Your Rubic integration keeps every route the Trade API does not cover.
