OpenPayd alternative for accounts and local payouts
OpenPayd suits virtual IBANs at scale and multi-currency FX. Companies paying people in local currency from USDT or USDC, or wanting EUR, GBP and USD accounts beside stablecoins, can use Unigox as an OpenPayd alternative.
When Unigox fits better than OpenPayd
You pay people from a stablecoin treasury
OpenPayd can convert your stablecoins to fiat through its on/off ramp, then pays local currency from your fiat balances over bank rails. Some African currencies such as GHS and UGX are not in its API currency table. With the Payments API, each payout is funded directly with USDT or USDC from your partner wallet and paid to the recipient's bank or mobile money account in local currency. The quote shows the rate, the Unigox fee and your own fee before you confirm.
See the Payments APIYou want to apply for accounts without a sales call first
OpenPayd's process starts with a contact form and an introductory call, and its compliance team holds a call with yours after reviewing your documents. For company accounts and OTC deals at Unigox, you start business onboarding online and send the KYB documents yourself. Our team reviews them and sets up the products agreed with your company. A Payments API integration starts with a call.
When to stay with OpenPayd
You issue virtual IBANs at scale
OpenPayd gives each of your customers a named virtual IBAN in each currency, with no limit on the number. Pooled accounts keep client money apart from your own, and incoming payments reconcile automatically.
Your platform opens customer accounts by API
OpenPayd's API creates linked clients, people or companies, and opens accounts for them in the currency you choose, one call per currency. At Unigox, accounts in your customers' names are requested after your own KYB, and the services are agreed with you.
You need FX in many currencies and bank rails
OpenPayd holds and converts major currencies with instant settlement by API, dashboard or OTC desk. It pays out over SEPA Instant, Faster Payments, CHAPS, ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT and PIX, and lets your customers pay you by bank through Open Banking.
Your partners ask for an e-money institution
OpenPayd's fiat services come from an e-money institution authorised by the FCA in the UK and a financial institution authorised by the MFSA in Malta.

| What it is | Accounts, payments, FX and stablecoin services for businesses and the customers they serve, through one API or an online dashboard. | Company accounts with stablecoin balances, OTC deals carried out by the Unigox team, and a Payments API for local payouts and collections settled in USDT or USDC. |
| How you start | A contact form and an introductory call. Compliance reviews your documents, then holds a call with your team. OpenPayd says onboarding can take as little as two weeks. | Accounts and OTC deals: start business onboarding online and send registration, ownership and source-of-funds documents.

How to move flows from OpenPayd to Unigox
Apply online or book a call
Select “Start business onboarding” and choose accounts for your business or OTC deals. For the Payments API, book a call with our team first: we agree your markets and setup, then your company passes KYB.
Pass KYB
Upload your registration documents, ownership structure and proof of where your funds come from. Owners with 25% or more, directors and signatories verify their identity; if your business needs a licence, send that licence or registration.
Set up accounts or the API
Our team opens the approved accounts in your Business Portal. For payouts, your developers build in the sandbox, then you top up your partner wallet with USDT or USDC.
Move one flow at a time
Give payers your new account details, or send the Payments API only the payouts you want funded from stablecoins. Your OpenPayd accounts and virtual IBANs keep running; nothing moves across by itself.
Questions about OpenPayd competitors
Which OpenPayd competitors suit crypto firms?
Account and payment platforms such as Rapyd compete with OpenPayd, and for stablecoin flows so does BVNK; we compare both with Unigox on their own pages. Unigox fits crypto and fintech companies that want company accounts beside stablecoin balances, OTC deals and payouts funded in USDT or USDC.
See all business comparisonsDoes Unigox have an API like the OpenPayd API?
For local payouts funded in USDT or USDC, and collections that settle in USDT or USDC, yes. The Payments API is a REST API with an X-API-Key header, webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256 and a sandbox with the same endpoints as production. Your developers get access after your company passes KYB.
See the Payments APIDoes OpenPayd publish its prices, and does Unigox?
Neither publishes a price list. OpenPayd says its pricing is bespoke and sends a quote after you get in touch. Unigox agrees a pricing plan for your accounts before you commit, and each Payments API quote shows the Unigox fee and your own fee before you confirm a payout.
Can I run Unigox next to OpenPayd?
Yes. Keep OpenPayd for virtual IBANs, FX and bank payouts, and add Unigox for payouts funded from stablecoins or for company accounts with stablecoin balances. You decide which flows go through each; neither moves money to the other by itself.
Can Unigox open accounts in my customers' names?
Yes, after your own company passes KYB. You can request EUR and GBP accounts in your customers' names, for people and for companies. Each holder passes their own identity or company check, and we agree with you the services and what your platform can do on those accounts.
Add accounts and payouts next to OpenPayd
Bring your markets, currencies and monthly volume. We confirm the accounts, payment methods and pricing for your company before you commit.
