LI.FI alternative for wallet buys on other networks

The Unigox Trade API is a LI.FI alternative for wallets whose users buy a token on another network with a stablecoin: they sign one transfer and Unigox makes the purchase. Keep LI.FI for its Widget, bridging and two-way swaps.

When to stay with LI.FI

  • You want the Widget in 17 languages

The LI.FI Widget is a ready set of bridge and swap components with theming, dark mode and 17 UI languages, and it needs no API key in the browser. With the Trade API your team designs the trading screens.

  • Users move funds between chains, not only buy

LI.FI bridges and swaps in either direction across EVM networks, Solana, Bitcoin, Sui, Tron and Stellar. The Trade API covers the buy alone; selling the token later is a separate swap where it is held.

  • You start on your own and set your own cut

Quotes answer without a key, up to 75 per two hours, and the Standard plan is free to integrate. You add your fee as a percentage on each request. Trade API access opens after Unigox reviews your request and agrees terms.

What LI.FI and the Trade API each do in a stablecoin buy

Every row is one purchase: a user holds a stablecoin on one network and buys a token on another.

What LI.FI and the Trade API each do in a stablecoin buy
Who runs the buyLI.FI picks a route across bridges, DEX aggregators and solvers and returns transaction data with the quote. Your app or the Widget sends it, then polls for the result.Unigox delivers the stablecoin on the destination network and makes the purchase there, for the assets your team lists.
What the user signsOn EVM networks, an approval of LI.FI's contract for the stablecoin when the allowance is short, then the transaction. The Widget also supports permit signatures (ERC-2612, Permit2).The stablecoin transfer, signed when the user accepts the price your app shows. The bought token is sent to the user's existing address.
What the quote statesAn estimated amount and a minimum set by slippage, 0.5% unless you change it. A completed transfer can deliver anywhere from that minimum up.The stablecoin amount delivered on the destination network, the gas charge and a deadline. The token amount comes from the purchase there; Unigox publishes no slippage setting.
If the destination buy failsA partial completion when the bridge leg worked: the user holds the bridged token, often the stablecoin, on the destination chain. LI.FI suggests offering a same-chain swap. Some routes end refunded.A refund of the delivered stablecoin on the destination network, at the receiver's address. Gas used by a failed attempt is the only deduction from it, and the quote caps it.
PricingA 0.25% LI.FI service fee per transaction, plus bridge and DEX fees by route. Your own fee comes out of the token the user sends, and LI.FI may take a share of it.No published price list: commercial terms are agreed before launch. Each quote states the delivered amount, the gas charge and a deadline. Partners earn a share of trading revenue.
Getting accessKeyless calls within public limits, a free Standard plan with a Partner Portal key, and an Enterprise plan with custom limits, fee discounts and SLAs.By request. Unigox checks the assets and networks you plan to offer, agrees commercial terms and runs a first purchase with you.

Move LI.FI token buys to the Trade API

  1. Request access for the pairs you route through LI.FI

Request access on the Trade API page with the tokens and networks your users buy with stablecoins through LI.FI. Unigox confirms each pair and agrees terms while your LI.FI integration stays live.

  2. Swap the route call for a quote

For those buys, your backend requests a Unigox quote in place of a LI.FI route. Show the stablecoin amount delivered on the destination network, the gas charge and the deadline, then ask the user to sign the stablecoin transfer.

  3. Drop the branch for partial completions

For these buys, remove the partial status and the same-chain swap you offer after it. A Trade API buy ends with the token or a stablecoin refund at the receiver's address on the destination network; show the user which.

Questions about LI.FI alternatives

Which part of the LI.FI API does the Trade API replace?

The LI.FI API quotes and routes swaps and bridges across many chains, returns the transaction for the user to sign and tracks it. The Trade API covers one part of that: wallet users buying a token on another network with a stablecoin.

See the Trade API

Do I need a key to call the LI.FI API?

No. Quote requests work without one, up to 75 per two hours, and the Widget runs without one. A free Partner Portal key raises the limits, and Enterprise clients get custom ones.

What fees does LI.FI charge on a swap or bridge?

A 0.25% service fee per transaction, with volume discounts on Enterprise, plus whatever the bridge or DEX on the route charges. An integrator can add its own percentage, taken from the token the user sends.

Can a wallet keep the LI.FI Widget and add the Trade API?

Yes. Bridging, selling and swaps in both directions can stay on LI.FI while buys of the tokens you list with Unigox go through the Trade API.
