Bungee exchange alternative for your in-wallet token buys
Socket, the team behind Bungee, offers a widget, two-way routes and a free API; stay with it for those. Wallets whose users only buy a token on another network can use the Unigox Trade API as a Bungee exchange alternative.
When to stay with Socket and Bungee
One widget should cover EVM, Solana and Tron swaps
The Socket Widget is a React component that runs swaps and bridges on EVM networks, Solana and Tron; your app keeps its wallet connection and passes the widget a small adapter. On the Trade API your team designs every trading screen.
Users bridge, sell, or pay in from Tron or Bitcoin
Socket's one quote-and-execute flow covers same-chain swaps, bridges and deposit addresses that take funds from Solana, Tron, Stellar or Bitcoin with no wallet connected. The Trade API buys only; selling the token later is its own swap on that network.
You want to test today and pay Socket nothing
Socket charges no fee for its API and adds no markup for users, and its test endpoint needs no key. You can add your own fee in basis points. Trade API access opens after a request, with pricing and your revenue share agreed first.
One stablecoin buy through Socket and through Unigox
Socket Technologies, the company behind Bungee, offers this routing to wallets and apps. Every row follows the same purchase from a wallet: a stablecoin on one network goes in, a token on another network comes out.
| Topic | Socket API | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| Route and quote | A list of routes across bridges, DEXs and solvers, each with an output, a time estimate, a gas fee and an expiry. Your app picks one by its tag or by output. | A single quote with the delivered amount, the gas charge and a deadline. Unigox moves the stablecoin to the token's network and makes the buy. |
| What the user signs | An approval of Socket's AllowanceHolder contract when the allowance is too low (your app checks; the quote does not), then the route's transaction. Permit2 cuts the prompts on routes that support it. | The stablecoin transfer, after your app has shown the price. The bought token goes to the address the user already holds. |
| Steps on the destination network | A buy of a token on the DEXs Socket aggregates needs no code from you. A step after delivery, such as a stake or a vault deposit, needs a destination payload: Socket hands the funds to an executor contract, your own or its reference forwarder, which makes the call. It is not offered on deposit-address routes or Sui. | Your app sends the calls that make the buy, such as approve and swap, with the quote. Unigox runs them in order in one transaction on the destination network. |
| Tokenised stocks | A separate Stocks API for moving users into and out of tokenised stock exposure, open by request as early access. | Part of the same Trade API: users buy assets such as tokenised stocks with a stablecoin they hold. |
| If the buy fails | The status ends completed, failed, expired or refunded; deposit routes take a refund address up front. With a destination payload, delivery and the call are separate: funds can arrive while the call fails, for example out of gas. | A stablecoin refund to the receiver on the destination network. It is the full amount unless a failed attempt there used gas, and that deduction is capped at the quoted gas charge. |
| Pricing | No Socket fee on the API and no markup for users; on-chain costs sit inside the quoted fees. Your own fee is set in basis points, and the output shown is already net of it. | The gas charge is part of each quote. Commercial terms and your share of trading revenue are agreed with Unigox before launch. |
| Access | A keyless endpoint for testing. For production, a domain-whitelisted endpoint for wallets or an API key with 20 requests a second (100 on enterprise), each requested by form. | On request from the Trade API page. Unigox reviews your assets and networks, agrees terms and makes a first purchase with your team. |
Move Socket-routed buys to the Trade API
Name the buys to move
Send Unigox the tokens and networks your users buy with stablecoins through Socket routes today. Unigox confirms the pairs and agrees terms, and your Socket key and affiliate ID keep serving everything else.
Point Bungee or Socket V3 buy calls at Unigox
Whether your backend calls the older Bungee API or Socket's newer one, those buys now ask Unigox for a quote and send the calls that make each buy. Your app shows the delivered amount, gas charge and deadline, and the user signs the stablecoin transfer.
Rewire the status screen
Socket's four end states, and its flag for the destination call, become two Trade API results: the token received, or a stablecoin refund on the destination network. Tell users where that refund lands.
Bungee exchange and Socket API questions
Can the Trade API replace Bungee exchange for token buys?
Yes, for buys paid in a stablecoin. The user pays from a stablecoin balance and gets the token on the token's network, or a stablecoin refund on that network if the buy fails. For selling back, bridging and routes from Solana or Tron, Socket covers more.
See the Trade APIWhat is Socket Tech, and how is it tied to Bungee?
Socket Technologies Limited, a British Virgin Islands company, runs the Socket routing API, widget and deposit addresses. Bungee exchange is the Socket team's own swap app, and the older Bungee API now comes with a guide for moving to Socket's newer swap API.
Can Socket users buy tokenised stocks today?
Only through Socket's separate Stocks API, which the Socket team opens by request as early access. On the Trade API, tokenised stocks are among the assets users buy with a stablecoin they hold, also on request, on pairs Unigox confirms.
See the Trade APIWhat changes when the Bungee API moves to Socket's Swap V3?
Socket's migration guide gives new quote and status endpoints, a quote ID in place of the request hash, and no signed typed data or submit step. If that code is being rewritten anyway, stablecoin token buys can move to the Trade API in the same change.
Price your Bungee and Socket buys with Unigox
Unigox checks each asset and network you list, agrees terms and runs a first live purchase with your team. Socket keeps every route you do not move.
