Kira Financial alternative for paying out in local currency
Unigox is a Kira Financial alternative when recipients want their own currency in a bank or mobile money account and you fund payouts from USDT or USDC. Keep Kira for US dollar accounts and SWIFT payments with an MT103.
When to stay with Kira
Your customers need US dollar accounts
Kira opens USD accounts in each customer's name, with ACH, Fedwire, FedNow and SWIFT details and a deposit address that credits USDT or USDC as dollars. Unigox opens accounts in your customers' names in EUR and GBP only, on request after your company passes KYB.

Kira sends dollars by SWIFT from banks in Hong Kong and Singapore. A payment posted before 3 pm Singapore time on a business day is credited that day, and the MT103 is in the dashboard and the API the next day.
Your OTC desk settles in dollars
Kira gives a desk accounts at more than one US bank and converts USDC 1:1 and USDT at the Kraken spot rate. It states a settlement time of 1 to 3 hours. Unigox OTC deals swap EUR or GBP with stablecoins; they do not settle US dollars to a bank.

Kira Financial compared with the Unigox Payments API
| Topic | Kira | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | USD accounts at US banks in your customers' names, with payouts, stablecoin conversion, KYB and KYC run by Kira. A dashboard, the API or an MCP server in Claude or ChatGPT. | Local payouts and collections by bank account or mobile money, added to your app and settled with your company in USDT or USDC. |
| Where a payout lands | Three rails: ACH to a US bank account, a wire to a bank account, or USDT or USDC to a wallet on Polygon, Solana or Tron (USDT only on Tron). | The recipient's own bank or mobile money account, in local currency, paid by a payment business connected to Unigox or an individual P2P merchant. |
| The stablecoin side | USDT or USDC sent to a deposit address is converted by a liquidity partner and credited in USD. Dollars can go out as USDT or USDC on Polygon, Solana or Tron, or USDC on Ethereum where enabled. | Each payout moves USDT or USDC from your partner wallet into on-chain escrow, signed by your server. If a funded payout stops, your server signs the refund back. |
| Kira's fee and Unigox's | Charged when money moves:
| Set by the currency and payment method of each order. The quote shows the Unigox fee next to the rate, your own fee and the total. |
| Your markup | Set per account or per payment method; your customer sees one price. | A percentage on each quote, paid to your partner wallet when the order completes. An order that does not complete is not charged. |
| Webhooks | An HMAC-SHA256 signature of the raw request body, keyed with your webhook secret and sent as hexadecimal. | HMAC-SHA256 as well, on order, refund and identity-check events, each retried if delivery fails. |
| Regulation | Kira Financial LLC is registered with FinCEN as a money services business; Kira Financial Colombia is a registered payment service provider; Pantera Network, S.A. de C.V. is entered in Mexico's CNBV register of money transmitters. Kira says it is not a bank. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |
Move local-currency payouts from Kira to Unigox
Agree your Kira markets on a call
A Payments API integration starts with a call to agree your markets. Your company then passes Unigox KYB; the checks Kira ran on you do not carry over, and API keys follow approval.
Rebuild the payout flow in the sandbox
Point your code at api-staging.unigox.com, which has the same endpoints as production. Your webhook check stays HMAC-SHA256 with a Unigox secret, and each of your customers passes a Unigox identity check or reuses an eligible Sumsub or Persona one.
Top up USDT or USDC and go live
Fund the partner wallet, switch to api.unigox.com and move your local-currency payouts over. USD accounts and SWIFT payments can stay at Kira.
Kira Financial alternatives: questions
Is Kirafin the same company as Kira Financial?
Yes. kirafin.ai is Kira's website; its footer names Kira Financial LLC in the United States, Kira Financial Colombia and, in Mexico, Pantera Network, S.A. de C.V. Its Sign in button opens app.kirafin.ai and its Docs link opens docs.kirafin.ai.
Which Kira Financial alternative pays in local currency?
Kira's payout and recipient references list ACH to US bank accounts, wires and USDT or USDC to a wallet. Its use-case page also mentions converting one currency to another, and no mobile money rail is listed. If your recipients want local money in a bank or mobile money account and you fund payouts from stablecoins, the Unigox Payments API does that job. Unigox confirms the currencies and payment methods for your company after KYB.
How does Kira Financial charge for a payout?
Kira charges a percentage when money arrives, another on each conversion and a flat fee per rail leg; holding a balance and asking for a quote cost nothing. Its pricing page prices only Tier III, its highest volume tier: 0.04% to off-ramp stablecoins and 30 USD per SWIFT payment sent. A Unigox quote shows its fee for that currency and method before you commit.
Can a platform keep Kira and add Unigox?
Yes. They are separate integrations, each with its own company checks and balances. You could keep Kira for USD accounts, OTC settlement and SWIFT to suppliers, and send the payouts your recipients take in their own currency through Unigox.
