Conduit Pay alternative: payouts to mobile money

Unigox is a Conduit Pay alternative when your app holds USDT or USDC and pays customers out in local money, to their own bank or mobile money account. Stay with Conduit for named USD accounts and vendor payouts.

When to stay with Conduit

  • Your customers need USD accounts in their own name

Conduit opens named USD accounts for your company or your customers without a US entity, and adds virtual IBANs for EUR and GBP. On Unigox, your company can hold USD, but accounts in a customer's name come in EUR and GBP only, on request once your own KYB is approved.

  • You pay suppliers, contractors or payroll

Conduit sends payments in your customer's business name, to Mexico over SPEI or to Brazil over Pix, with an invoice or other supporting document on vendor and payroll payouts.

  • Your money moves on US bank rails

Conduit routes USD through eight US banking partners and pays out over Fedwire, RTP, FedNow and ACH. Unigox does not currently offer its services in the United States, so keep US payouts on Conduit.

Taking money inNamed virtual accounts in USD, EUR and GBP, each with its own account details (US domestic and SWIFT for USD, SEPA for EUR, UK domestic for GBP), and stablecoin deposits into wallets on several chains.Order by order, the customer sends local currency by bank transfer or mobile money; Unigox releases USDT or USDC to your partner wallet after confirming it.
Paying outIts API pays out from a USD, EUR or GBP account: Fedwire, RTP, FedNow and ACH for USD, SEPA for EUR, Faster Payments and CHAPS for GBP, and SWIFT for any currency the correspondent chain supports. Its site also lists Pix, TED and SPEI, and M-Pesa for Africa. The customer's own bank or mobile money account, in local currency. A payment business connected to Unigox or a P2P merchant sends it, and a quote can rule out P2P merchants.
Checks on each payoutEvery payout declares a purpose. A payout to the customer's own account needs that account registered and reviewed in advance, with no document per payout; vendor, payroll and most other purposes need a supporting document such as an invoice. Each customer passes a Unigox identity check before the first order, and a cash-out lands in that customer's own account.
Your own feeA percentage or flat margin on conversions and fiat payouts, none on crypto payouts. Conduit enables it per organisation and pays it monthly against a statement.A percentage you set per order, credited to your partner wallet as the order completes; nothing is charged on an order that falls through.
PricingNo public rate card; its site describes tiered pricing by volume. Its API quotes each conversion or payout before you commit, at a rate and fees locked for about five minutes, and its sandbox page offers no platform fees during a Quickstart production trial.Varies by currency and payment method; the quote lists rate, Unigox fee, your fee and total before you place the order.
RegulationIts Canadian company, 12835304 Canada Inc., is on the FINTRAC register as an MSB and on the Bank of Canada register as a PSP; its US company, Conduit Technology, Inc., is a FinCEN-registered MSB.Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow.

Move customer cash-outs from Conduit to Unigox

  1. Name your customers' cash-out countries

Tell Unigox the countries where your customers cash out to local banks or mobile money, then send your company documents for KYB. Your Conduit organisation, its whitelisted recipients and its API keys do not carry over; Unigox issues API keys after approval.

  2. Turn a Conduit payout into a Unigox order

A Conduit payout debits a virtual account and carries a purpose code. On Unigox the same cash-out starts with a quote that carries your fee, becomes an order for a verified customer, and is funded by a USDT or USDC transfer your server signs from the partner wallet. Build it in the sandbox and follow each order by signed webhook.

  3. Verify customers once, then fund the wallet

Conduit pays a person's own account only after that account is registered as theirs. Unigox checks the customer once, by ID and selfie, a Unigox verification link or reuse of an eligible Sumsub or Persona check. Then load USDT or USDC into the partner wallet and switch to production keys.
