Grey app alternative for the USDT you earn

As a Grey app alternative, Unigox lets you sell USDT a client paid you for local money in one trade. Grey charges separately to deposit, convert and send it. Keep Grey for foreign accounts, a card and transfers abroad.

When to stay with Grey

  • Clients pay you by bank transfer

Grey gives you USD, GBP and EUR account details that Deel, Upwork, Fiverr, Amazon or a client's bank can pay into. Receiving by ACH, SEPA or Faster Payments costs 0.8%, at least 2 and at most 10 in that currency. A sale on Unigox can start only once the money is already USDT or USDC.

  • You pay by card, online or in shops

A Grey virtual Visa card costs 5 USD once, spends straight from your USD, EUR or GBP balance, and can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay in the regions Grey supports. A Unigox sale pays local money into your bank or mobile wallet, and you spend it from there.

  • You send money to other countries

Grey pays out to bank accounts and mobile money in Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa and the CFA franc zones among others, most for a flat fee per transfer, and moves money between Grey users by GreyTag. Unigox only trades stablecoins against local money, so transfers abroad stay with Grey.

Grey and Unigox for one USDT payment from a client

The rows follow a single route on both sides: USDT arrives, and local money reaches your bank or mobile wallet. Grey's foreign accounts and card are not part of it.

Grey and Unigox for one USDT payment from a client
What it isA multi-currency app: USD, GBP and EUR account details, balances that include USDT and USDC, a virtual Visa card, conversions and transfers abroad.A marketplace where an individual P2P merchant or a payment business buys your USDT or USDC and pays you local money for it.
USDT arrivesInto a USDT balance in the app. Grey charges a deposit fee on it and shows the amount before you confirm a transfer; it does not publish the figure.Your client, or the wallet that holds it, sends USDT or USDC to your Unigox deposit address on a network the deposit screen lists. It waits in your Unigox Wallet until you sell.
Turning it into local moneyA conversion at Grey's fee table: USDT to USD is free, USD to KES, GHS, TZS, UGX or ZAR costs 1%. There is no direct row from USDT to those currencies. Grey says it adds no margin beyond its stated fees.A single sale at the rate quoted for your amount. The Unigox fee is already inside that rate, and there is no separate conversion step.
Money reaches your accountA withdrawal with its own flat fee: in Kenya 0.5 USD to M-Pesa or 0.65 USD to a bank, in Tanzania 0.5 USD to mobile money or 1 USD to a bank, in Ghana 1.2 USD to a bank. The P2P merchant or payment business that takes your USDT pays the account you name, as part of the same trade. During a trade the crypto sits in an on-chain escrow that Unigox can release only to the buyer or the seller.

Grey Inc is registered with FinCEN in the United States, Grey Finance Inc with FINTRAC in Canada, and customer money is held with partner banks.Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow.

From your Grey USDT balance to a Unigox sale

  1. Verify as the freelancer

Create a Unigox account and complete identity verification. It is needed before the first trade, whatever the amount.

  2. Send the USDT across

Open Deposit in your Unigox Wallet, pick USDT on BEP-20 or TRC-20, the only networks Grey sends on, and copy the address. If neither is listed, do not send. Give the address to your next client, or in Grey choose Send, add it as a new wallet recipient and select the same network. A transfer on the wrong network cannot be recovered.

  3. Sell the client's USDT

Pick your currency, name the account to be paid, and accept the rate quoted for your amount. A P2P merchant or a payment business pays that account.

Grey users ask about Unigox

Is there a Grey app alternative for USDT income?

Unigox, for the USDT part. Grey handles USDT in three steps, each with its own fee: it lands in a USDT balance, you convert it, then you withdraw to a bank or mobile wallet. Unigox replaces those steps with one sale to a P2P merchant or a payment business, who pays your account as part of the trade. It does not replace Grey's foreign account details or its card.

What fees does Grey Finance charge on USDT?

Grey names three: a deposit fee when the USDT arrives, a conversion fee, and a send fee when the money leaves, each shown before you confirm. Its fee table puts USDT to USD at 0% and USD to Kenyan, Ghanaian, Tanzanian, Ugandan or South African money at 1%. A withdrawal in Kenya costs 0.5 USD to M-Pesa or 0.65 USD to a bank. The deposit fee on USDT is not published.

Is Grey Finance safe, and who regulates it?

Grey says it is not a bank. Grey Finance Inc offers its services in Canada and is registered with FINTRAC; Grey Inc offers them in the United States and is registered with FinCEN. Customer money is held with partner banks rather than lent out. Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow.

Can I keep Grey and use Unigox as well?

Yes. Grey can stay the place your clients pay by bank transfer and the card you spend with. Only the USDT you want turned into local money needs to go to Unigox.

Set Grey's three fees against one Unigox quote

Before you confirm a sale, Unigox shows what your amount fetches with its fee already inside. Set that against what Grey leaves you after its deposit, conversion and send fees, for the same amount on the same day. In some currencies Grey's route leaves more.
