DolarApp alternative for USDT, without ARQ's top-up fee
ARQ, formerly DolarApp, charges 3 digital dollars (USDc) per USDT top-up on the Standard plan and accepts no TON or Solana USDT. On Unigox, a DolarApp alternative, a P2P buyer pays your bank. Keep ARQ for US or European transfers.
When to stay with ARQ
Clients in the US or Europe pay you by bank transfer
ARQ gives you US account details for ACH and wire payments, plus euro account details. Each payment arrives as digital dollars or euros. On the Standard plan a payment costs 3 USDc or 3 EURc; an ACH transfer usually takes 3 to 6 business days.
You spend by card or keep a dollar balance earning
The virtual ARQ card is free, card payments carry no fee, and ATM withdrawals cost 1%. USDc in the Earnings account earns 2% a year on the Standard plan, more on paid plans, from a 150 USDc balance. ARQ calls the yield a discretionary benefit.
Your money starts as pesos, not USDT
Peso top-ups and peso transfers to banks in Mexico and Argentina are free on ARQ. It converts at what it calls the real market rate. That is free when you top up pesos by SPEI in Mexico; otherwise ARQ charges a flat fee it does not state. You see the exact amount before you confirm.
ARQ and Unigox for USDT you want in your bank
The rows follow USDT that is already in a wallet, on its way to a bank account as local money.
| Topic | ARQ | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | DolarApp, now called ARQ: an app that keeps your money as digital dollars or euros (USDc, EURc), with US and euro account details, a card and an Earnings account. | A marketplace where an individual P2P merchant or a payment business buys your USDT or USDC and pays you in local money. |
| Networks for USDT | Ethereum, Tron or Polygon for USDT; Ethereum or Polygon for USDc. ARQ warns that a different network can mean lost funds. | TON, Tron, Solana or an EVM chain such as Ethereum or Arbitrum, picked on the sell form. The form then shows the deposit address for that network. |
| What you pay to cash out | 3 USDc per USDT top-up on the Standard plan, then a flat conversion fee that ARQ does not publish for Mexico or Argentina. Its network guide calls USDc top-ups on Polygon free. | The Unigox fee is inside the rate quoted for your amount, and you see that rate before you accept. |
| From USDT to your bank | Pesos you send out come from selling your USDc or EURc. Transfers to Mexican banks by SPEI and to Argentine accounts by CBU, CVU or alias are free. Mexico has a minimum of 3 digital dollars in pesos. | The buyer pays the bank account you name on the trade, and you confirm once the money arrives. During a trade the crypto sits in an on-chain escrow that Unigox can release only to the buyer or the seller. |
| Sending USDT back out | USDT on Ethereum, Tron or Polygon. ARQ's fee is at most 3 USDc or 0.50% of the amount, plus the network fee, and the smallest withdrawal is 5 USDc. | You can move USDT or USDC between Unigox and an outside wallet before or after a trade. |
| Regulation | Mexico: a locally incorporated company that reports to the SAT; ARQ says it is not a bank. Argentina: a virtual asset service provider registered with the CNV, and Garpa S.A., a payment service provider, for pesos. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |
Sell USDT to your bank without ARQ's 3 USDc top-up
Pass the Unigox ID check
Create a Unigox account and verify your identity. The check applies from the first trade, and ARQ's verification does not carry over.
Send the USDT to your sell address
Have the payer send USDT straight to your Unigox address. USDT already in ARQ can go out on Ethereum or Tron, which both sides list, for ARQ's withdrawal fee.
Name your bank and accept the quote
Enter the amount and the account to be paid, accept the rate, and release the USDT once the payment shows in your bank.
Questions about DolarApp alternatives
What are DolarApp's fees for crypto?
On ARQ's Standard plan, a USDT top-up costs 3 USDc. Sending USDT or USDc out costs at most 3 USDc or 0.50% plus the network fee, with a 5 USDc minimum withdrawal. Peso transfers in Mexico and Argentina are free. Unigox puts its fee inside the rate you accept.
DolarApp vs Unigox: where should USDT income go?
ARQ, if you are also paid by US or euro bank transfer, use its card, or keep USDc earning in the app. Unigox, if your USDT arrives on TON or Solana, or you would rather a buyer pay your bank than top up ARQ first.
DolarApp review: who runs it now that it is ARQ?
The same company that ran DolarApp. It has taken the ARQ name and says it was not acquired or sold and remains independent. In Argentina its virtual asset services run through a company registered with the CNV; in Mexico it reports to the SAT.
Can I move USDT from ARQ to Unigox?
Yes. ARQ sends USDT to outside addresses on Ethereum, Tron or Polygon, and Unigox takes USDT on the first two. Pick the same network on the Unigox sell form as in ARQ. Check the address before you confirm: ARQ cannot reverse a crypto transfer.
Quote your USDT before an ARQ top-up
Enter the USDT amount on Unigox to see whether a buyer quotes your currency today, and at what rate, with the fee inside. Set it beside ARQ's 3 USDc top-up and its conversion on the same day.
